Now, you can buy Hyundai cars online on Amazon while sitting on your couch, chair, or other preferred seating. However, same-day delivery will not be included in Amazon Prime. Amazon has entered the online car purchase market in dealerships with the Hyundai. The e-commerce company has partnered with Hyundai dealers in 48 cities in the U.S. The car purchase option is only available for Hyundai models, Amazon will be expanding the range as well as partnership for this service.

Fan Jin, global head of Amazon autos said, “With Amazon Autos, we’re bringing the simplicity and ease customers expect from Amazon to car shopping, one of their largest purchases, while offering dealers a new channel to connect with a broad audience. We’re excited to have Hyundai as our exclusive launch partner and look forward to welcoming more brands and expanding our selection to customers as the program grows.”
Amazon’s Hot New Car Buying Feature
Last year, Amazon announced that is planning to get into the car-buying market. Previously, the company launched the services to check and compare the prices of different car showrooms on its platform. The partnership with Hyundai has executed the plans of Amazon and the e-commerce industry. The major step in this dealership is that the end seller will remain the dealer, Amazon will only work as a middleman between the buyer and dealer.
Customers will also be able to trade in their old cars by just answering a few questions regarding the condition and required data. After the confirmation of the cars’ details, the request will be processed by an independent valuation service to determine the price of the trade as per market trends.
Amazon is not leaving any chance to lure customers to buy cars, it will offer a gift card of $2,300 for anyone who buys a car from their site within a limited time. The gift card can be used for vehicle purchases, but it will only work till 10th January 2025.
Amazon’s Game-Changing Car Shopping Future
Amazon is one of the largest e-commerce companies with millions of active users making it easier to cater to a large audience. However, making them buy cars online will be a task for the company. For now, customers can only purchase new models of Hyundai cars available on the site which can be disappointing for many car lovers.
To stay in the car dealing industry, Amazon needs to appeal to dealers as much as customers. The company is pitching to dealers by arguing that they can be a medium to reach millions of active users on Amazon. The platform has 310 million active users which supports the argument to the best.
Challenges with the Online Car Shopping Industry
According to several surveys, the majority of people find online car shopping frustrating because of dealership issues. Forty-eight states of the U.S. have laws limiting manufacturers from selling cars directly to consumers. Although, Amazon and Hyundai have managed to overcome this issue end seller will remain the dealer of the car.
While many dealerships let customers browse and buy cars directly on their websites, adding Amazon as a platform with its vast daily traffic will undoubtedly streamline the process and make car shopping even more convenient.
