Nintendo is finally ready to reveal the console we have all been speculating about with its planned Switch 2 Direct presentation scheduled for Wednesday morning. The first detailed look of the Switch 2 is highly anticipated, as the gaming industry gets ready to possibly one of the most successful system launches of all time.
The game maker will hold a “Nintendo Direct” keynote event to discuss the Nintendo Switch at 9 a.m. ET on Wednesday. This event will be streamed live on Nintendo’s YouTube page and its other social media handles. The event will offer a “closer look at Nintendo Switch 2,” as per the company’s spokesperson.

It showed two USB-C ports, a docking system and a built-in kickstand. Also showcasing a possibility of some sort of Joy-Con mouse control feature.

It could be possible that the event may likely include trailers and demos of the new games that are set to release on the Switch 2 this year. There are reports suggesting the console can likely feature 12GB of memory and a larger screen.

The teaser event of Nintendo did gave a glimpse at the new Mario Kart game. Also another long-anticipated game that is expected to be displayed on the Switch 2 is Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. With the Switch 2 expected to launch as early as June, Nintendo will likely reveal the release date, price, and when customers can pre-order the system. There has been rumors that the Switch 2 pre-orders most probably shall go live at most retailers on April 9. Switch 2 is expected to launch in the first half of June.

Tegra X1 mobile chip powered the original Switch made by Nvidia. Reportedly, the Switch 2 will be powered by a new Nvidia mobile chip.

Nintendo has not yet revealed the Switch 2’s price, but this is expected to be announced at the Nintendo Direct event on Wednesday. Many analysts felt the Nintendo Switch 2 console’s price could start from at least $400, up from $299 for the original Switch. Though if hit by tariff this could change. Nintendo may reveal the price at the last minute.
