The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card’s lounge access is making changes to its policy. The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card after its launch became very popular for its generous lounge access policies. For the annual fees of $395, the primary cardholder enjoys complimentary access to Capital One lounges and Landings and Priority Pass lounges for themselves and up to two guests. But now the Capital One lounge access policy is ending on Feb 1, 2026.

Capital One lounge access changes
An email notification was sent to all the Venture X and Capital One Venture X Business cardholders notifying them of sweeping changes to lounge access for guests and authorized users that will begin taking effect next February.
Starting Feb. 1, 2026, authorized users will lose their complimentary airport lounge access. That’s a major shift for the premium travel rewards credit card, which boasted of its ability to share benefits with authorized users when it first launched in 2021.
Capital One lounge guest fees
Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and the Capital One Venture X Business cardholders shall no longer be able to bring guests for free into a Capital One Lounge or Landing without meeting a $75,000 spending requirement each calendar year.
Credit Card holders of Capital One Venture X Rewards will also lose complimentary access for guests to lounges in the Priority Pass network. The Capital One Venture X Business cardholders will not be affected and will still be able to bring two guests to Priority Pass lounges.
“As airport lounges continue to grow in popularity across the industry, we’ve seen our customers increasingly encounter wait times to enter them,” Capital One said in a statement explaining the changes.
Cardholder lounge access changes
Beginning Feb 1, 2026, Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders’ lounge access for additional cardholders (including authorized users and account managers) will change. After this date, no additional cardholders will receive complimentary lounge access. Primary cardholders can add lounge access to additional cardholder accounts by paying $125 per card.
This is a significant loss for those with the Venture X. Authorized users will no longer have complimentary lounge access, and instead will need to pay $125 for the privilege.
Venture X Business cardholders access changes
However, this is good news for Venture X Business cardholders. Currently, there is no option for additional cardholders to receive complimentary lounge access, but after the changes, primary cardholders can get unlimited access for up to four authorized users by paying $125 for each account.
As per Capital One, since it was introduced in 2021, Venture X has stood out as a unique premium travel card with industry-leading rewards and benefits – including airport lounge access – at a $395 price point.
